L'Equipe makes a list of 50 best players in the world with the highest age category of 21 years. Asensio is one of five Spanish players on the list, including two teammates, Dani Ceballos and Jesus Vallero, who are ranked 15th and 31st. In addition, there are Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler (ranked 40th) and defender Real Sociedad, Mikel Oyarzabal (44).
